SACMI PET solutions are set to play a leading role at the 8th international "Injection, Blow, Roto Molding & PET" summit, to be held on 9 - 10 October at the Sahara Star Hotel in Mumbai, India. The goal: to show customers and industry operators SACMI's unique technology, process control and integrated product development solutions.
On the second day of the symposium, SACMI will give a talk entitled “New injection molding system for PET preforms with embedded quality control vision system and high-cavitation molds for the new 26 mm neck finish family” (10 October, 11:30, conference session dedicated to the PET world, 6B).
Stemming from the advanced research carried out by the Rigid Packaging LAB, the talk introduces the features, advantages and peculiarities of the IPS (injection preform system) range which, with the IPS 300 and IPS 400, allows incorporation of the vision system (PVS, preform vision system) directly on the press to ensure intensive quality control.
Years of PET-focused development have made SACMI the first company on the market to propose this type of solution, which offers significant advantages in terms of enhanced quality control efficiency.
Other topics touched on will include the development of high-cavitation molds, specifically designed for the new 26 mm neck family for which SACMI offers the widest range of dedicated caps on the market.
